Sharpie Aunt Onesies

Today, I made this adorable baby outfit for my nephew, as he is due in July!

I was on Pintrest looking at cute baby DIYs and came across a shirt that said "My Aunt Rocks!" With a guitar on it. I don't play the guitar, but it looked so cute, I decided to put piano keys on it instead and really make it my own.

To begin with, all you need is a onesie, colorful sharpies, a piece of paper and cardboard.
Since I decided to do mine differently than what I saw, I drew it out on a piece of paper the size of my outfit (because it's for a baby, the paper was close in size).

Then, it's time to do the final draft. Take your cardboard and put it inside your outfit so the markers won't bleed through. You may have to cut the cardboard to make it fit as close as possible. Because I was scared to mess up, I put my paper design inside and traced it onto the onesie. I used the colors blue, green and black. Once I wrote the words how I liked it, I drew the piano keys going across the stomach. I started by drawing 2 parallel curvy lines like in the picture. I drew one line then the number 4 and color in the four part. Then, two lines and the number 4 and colored in the four part and kept going until I got to the other side. Now the music notes on the sleeves. I drew two "d"s next to eachother and a line connecting them at the top, and a different color line under the top line.

NOTE: the sleeves have to be done by eye. Unless you cut out the sleeve drawing and put it in the sleeve to trace it, you just have to eye it.

Have fun with my craft!
